On the upcoming Mnet reality show "Kara Bakery," Kara members went to a bank to apply for loans to fund the opening of their bakery.
Because Goo Hara, Nicole and Kang Ji Young are minors they were unable to receive a loan, however Park Gyuri and Han Seung Yeon were able to take out a loan totaling about ₩70,000,000 (approx. $60,170 USD).
The bank stated:
In the case of Park Gyuri, she's always had a lot of bank transactions, therefore she was able to receive about ₩40,000,000. As for Han Seung Yeon, she presented various items as collateral, so she was able to receive about ₩30,000,000.
The PD of the show stated:
With the loan Kara members have received, they will put forth this money to cover expenses needed to open a bakery.
This show seems very promising! And with the Kara members actually taking out loans to open a real life bakery, I'm sure there will be lots of extremely entertaining scenes.
